How Can I Import My Existing Patient Information?
You can import your existing patients using the Patient Importer feature.
On your Patients page, select “Import patients” from the settings icon in the upper right hand corner. From there, simply attach your CSV file of patient data and click the “Upload” button. (Tip: you can get your CSV file right from Excel – just save the file as, then choose CSV. (View a sample CSV here. > )
The next step is matching the columns in your file with their corresponding fields within the EMR. Then click “Next” to continue the process.
At this point you’ll be asked to set Global Options. The selections you make here will apply to all the patients in your import, and are designed to save you loads of time! Your options for global setting include providing consent to non-secure methods of communication, adding a monthly subscription, and setting the subscription start date. You can adjust these individually from the patient’s chart later, or skip the global options during the import process.
After you’ve reviewed the patient data from your import, you’ll have one last chance to make changes before completing the process. Simply click “Make Changes” if you need to adjust, or click “Import Patients” to continue.
Please be patient while your data imports. If the list was long, it might take a few minutes! Once the import is complete, you’ll be presented with the full list of patients from your CSV. You can click a patient’s name to navigate to their newly created chart.
