If you use the Atlas.md Patient App on an iOS or Android device, you can choose to share health and fitness data from your device directly with your doctor. Health monitoring is optional, and you control which information Atlas.md can access.
Connect Health Monitoring
During the initial Patient App setup, review the information on the Health Data Usage screen, then tap Continue. The remaining steps depend on your device.
On iOS
- On the Health Access screen, choose Turn On All to share every available category or select individual categories.
- Tap Continue.
- Choose how much historical data you want to share:
- Past 30 Days shares data from the previous 30 days.
- Full History shares all available historical data.
- Tap Allow to finish connecting the Health app.
Tap Don’t Allow if you do not want to share health data.
On Android
- On the Health Connect permission screen, turn on Allow all or select individual health categories.
- Tap Allow. This gives Atlas.md access to new data and data from the previous 30 days.
- When asked whether Atlas.md can access past data, tap Allow to include data older than 30 days. Tap Don’t allow if you only want to share new data and data from the previous 30 days.
Tap Don’t allow on the first permission screen if you do not want to share any health data.
Manage Health Monitoring
To check your connection status or manage health monitoring, log into the Patient App, tap the menu icon in the upper-left corner, then select Health Monitoring.
If health monitoring is disconnected, tap Connect to Health. On iOS, you can also review or update permissions by opening the Health app and selecting Sharing > Apps > Atlas.md Patients.
Once connected, your health data automatically syncs whenever you open the Patient App. From the Health Monitoring screen, you can also:
- Tap Send Health Data to My Doctor to sync your latest data manually.
- Tap Disconnect from Health to stop sharing health data with your doctor.
Where Your Health Data Appears
Synced information is automatically added to the Vitals & Stats section of your Atlas.md chart. It is also available to Atlas.md features that use vitals, including macros and AI processing.
