How Can I Import Lab Results?
Atlas.md allows you to move test results from the labs directly into the app as discrete data. Instead of only being able to view test results as a static PDF, this information can be viewed as tabular data, allowing for way more flexibility when it comes to compiling and tracking results.
To get started, head to the order details page that contains the results you would like to import. You can access this page from the list of recent lab results on your dashboard, your email notifications, or from the patient’s chart history.
Once you’re on the order details page, scroll down to Lab Results. Click on the beaker icon to the right of the result you would like to import, then select “Import Results.”
On the next page, you’ll see a summary of all of the information contained within the PDF that you are importing. This includes any patient notes as well as important results data such as the value, reference and flag. Once you click on the “Import Results” button, the data will be transferred and linked to the profile of the patient it concerns and can be now be viewed as tabular data directly in Atlas.md – specifically, from the order details page of the lab order.
From that same page, you can access the original PDF by clicking on “Download Latest Results PDF.”
Observation History
Once you have imported multiple different test results for the same patient and the same test, you can them all on the same order details page.
To do so, navigate to the page, then click the arrow to the left of a specific test for an expanded view of the different lab results. The resulting dropdown displays the concurrent results of the test, the date it was processed, and its order number.
You can also view the observation history of the test by clicking on “More Details.” This is a dedicated page that displays the varied results over time for that specific test. From here, you can navigate to the order of each result by clicking on the link under “Order”, or view the original PDF from the laboratory by clicking on the PDF link to the right of the page.
Exporting Results
From the observation history page, you can also easily export results as a .CSV file. To do so, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen, the select, “Export to CSV”.
Please note: Only results received from LabCorp after January 15, 2020, and from Quest after June 12, 2014, are available to be imported.
