What Happens If I Close My Atlas.md Account?

If you close your Atlas.md account, your Atlas Balance account will also be closed. Atlas Balance is only available to active Atlas.md clinics, so once your clinic is no longer active in Atlas.md, access to your financial account ends as well.

What Happens to My Funds?

Before closing, you'll need to transfer any remaining balance to an external bank account. Once your funds are moved out, your Atlas Balance account will be deactivated, and no new payments can be sent or received.

Any physical or virtual spending cards linked to your Atlas Balance account will be automatically deactivated. Pending card authorizations must be posted before final settlement, in accordance with Stripe Issuing rules.

Any payments already in progress (such as ACH transfers, wires, or incoming deposits) may still settle or be reversed depending on timing.

The FDIC insurance applies up to 250,000 USD per depositor, per financial institution, for deposits held in the same ownership capacity. Neither Stripe nor Atlas.md are an FDIC insured institution.
