Atlas Balance

Is My Account Eligible for FDIC Insurance?
Your Atlas Balance account is eligible for FDIC insurance up to $250,000 through our banking partner, Fifth Third Bank, N.A., a Member FDIC.
While Atlas itself isn’t a bank, the money you hold in your Atlas account is kept in a special “for-the-benefit-of” (FBO) account at Fifth Third Bank. This setup allows you to receive FDIC pass-through protection, assuming certain requirements are met.
In short:
- Your funds are held at an FDIC-insured bank (Fifth Third Bank)
- Your account is structured to allow FDIC insurance to apply to you individually
- You’re covered—up to $250,000—if Fifth Third Bank ever fails
What’s Not Covered?
FDIC insurance does not protect against fraud, unauthorized activity, or loss due to your own actions. It only applies if the partner bank—Fifth Third Bank—fails.
If you need help with a suspicious charge or dispute, reach out to us anytime, and we’ll support you directly.
*Stripe Treasury Accounts are eligible for FDIC pass-through deposit insurance if they meet certain requirements. The accounts are eligible only to the extent pass-through insurance is permitted by the rules and regulations of the FDIC, and if the requirements for pass-through insurance are satisfied. The FDIC insurance applies up to 250,000 USD per depositor, per financial institution, for deposits held in the same ownership capacity.
